Another new plant

Ligularia przewalskii

Large flowered Evening Primrose (Oenothera glazioviana)

Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare)

Any new plants in the Stobswood area are unlikely to be native but I had never seen Ligularia przewalskii before, a garden escape probably but a few plants were growing beside the railway line at the old brickworks. Large flowered Evening primrose and Fennel were also gracing this former industrial site.

Blyth and Seaton Sluice dunes

Bloody Cranesbill (Geranium sanguineum)

Grass leaved Orache (Atriplex littoralis)

Harebell (Campanula rotundifloria)

Wild Marjoram (Origanum vulgare)

Robin's pincushion

Field Bindweed (Convolvulous arvensis)

Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium)

Garden Spider on Marram

Not often I'm along the dunes south of Blyth but they are magnificent for flora and a good walk from south beach to Seaton sluice harbour.

Strathardle

River Tay at Dunkeld

Intrepid mountaineers!

Stalactites and Stalagmites

Fir Clubmoss

Red Squirrel on the bird table

Spent a week at Strathardle, Perthshire. Lots of walking, out and about, shopping, visiting relatives etc. Plenty of new plants but birds not so exciting except for Ptarmigan on the mountain tops. The cottage was on the banks of the river Ardle between Blairgowrie and Pitlochry near Blackcraig castle. On the bridge to the castle is an occupied gatehouse and under the arch were dozens of stalactites and stalagmites.
